🔗 Share this article Unveiling a Unique Steam Game Trial: Playing as a Piece of Feces on a Quest to Arrive at the Toilet Steam Next Fest is in full swing, and players have discovered plenty of interesting indie games. Yet, one stands out for its unconventional concept. Named Unko Technica, this old-school styled jumping adventure includes a protagonist that is actually a piece of poop trying to navigate to a toilet. As a fun fact, "Unko" means "poop." The gameplay is simple: you only need a jump control. In numerous levels, you'll face boss fights and visit a store to acquire skins for your fecal avatar. Plan your actions carefully, as a mistake forces restarting the level. Bounce off bubbles to propel yourself upward, traverse crumbling platforms, and touch buttons to unlock secret routes. Gather coins for buying tougher game content as things ramps up. In terms of design, the game features vibrant level designs and catchy soundtrack. Its minimalist graphics with shifting abstract forms could recall players of old favorites like Earthbound. Although hard to think of previous releases where you play as a dung character, gaming have long included fecal matter. For example, in Death Stranding, you can craft explosives from protagonist waste. Titles such as Palworld and Ark: Survival Evolved employ dung as soil enrichment. Unsurprisingly, fecal references appears extensively in Obsidian's role-playing game The Stick of Truth. Regardless of its silly idea, Unko Technica has already earned impressive accolades, like winning at Bandai Namco's GYAAR Studio in 2023. The demo is available now on Steam, with the full game planned to launch on PC this November.
